Town Order restoration started on 16th march 2026 in the central business area of Mbarara city starting with Mbaguta street though it will expand to all streets of our City.This operation has affected mostly those vendors who are operating on the road side, displays covering walk ways, and those operating in corridors among many others.

Vendors who have complied haven't been affected but those who haven't, their properties have been impounded and taken to former Kamukuzi division offices.

The team has been led by Division Town Clerks (South & North) Sarah Nandawula, City Commercial Officer Allan Buhanda, Enforcement team, Town agents and other technical members of our City.

Stakeholders have been advised to comply with the law in order to avoid being inconvenienced since this is a continuous exercise which isn't ending today.
